Former President John Dramani Mahama has promised to develop the Kasoa township into Ghana’s modern city if voted into power. The former president during his interaction as he made a whistle stop in Kasoa today, on day one of the Central Region, said the capital, Accra is gradually getting over populated and that most development are moving from the area into Kasoa hence the need to have a re-look at ways to developing.
In his address, Mr. Mahama noted that it took its administration the foresight to invest in building road infrastructure within Kasoa to cope with the densely populated area of the Central Region. He mentioned that the fly over in Kasoa is testament to what the NDC intended to do for the people and within its aspiration of building a modern city.
On this note, John Mahama promised to redevelop the Kasoa dual carriage road into a six-lane road infrastructure to cut down the traffic that ritually develop on the Kasoa-Accra Highway. He disclosed that this infrastructure will be funded from the famous $10 billion Big Push Program, if the NDC is voted into office.
I know that Kasoa is in the Central Region and it’s.close to Accra, the capital. We must build Kasoa into another city as Accra. You know of my Big Push agenda. I am going to reconstruct the Kasoa road into a six lane highway. It’s disheartening being stuck in traffic when you returning from Accra.”
He therefore entreated the electorate to vote for him come December 7 to enable him actualise these promises for the people. His whistle stop in Kasoa pooled quiet a spectacular audience, and that proves how loyal the people of Kasoa are to him.
