  • SOME MISTAKES GUYS MAKE WHILE TEXTING WOMEN

Today, people prefer texting than calling because it’s cheaper and a convenient way of communication just like calling. However, there are mistakes guys make while texting women.

Below are some of these mistakes.

    1. Confessing your messages through text message

Expressing your feelings through texts won’t convince her that much that you are really in for her. Women are not into feelings expressed through texts, in fact, a serious woman will only take you for granted.

It is advisable that you hold back your feelings and express them when you meet them or a phone call would be better.

    2. You are being too available

She sends a message and you reply right away. Come on! Despite how much you value her, don’t be too quick to reply her always because she won’t do it in return. Take sometime before you text her back, don’t be too available.

    3. You text too much

Don’t you have time for other things other than her? No matter how much she is driving you crazy, you don’t need to be a text freak. Give her time to think of other things and find things to do for yourself as well.

    4. Waiting too long to text her back

This is another mistake. Don’t be the kind of man who never replies her on time. I don’t mean that you are too available but don’t always be too late to reply to her texts. It turns her off and she could lose her interest in you.

    5. Sending too long texts with typos and too many short forms

As a man, you should keep things brief and if it has to be long, be on point. Don’t send her extremely long texts with several typing errors and short forms she can’t understand. Long texts could keep the conversation short remember.

  • FOODS ULCER PATIENT SHOULD AVOID

    FOODS ULCER PATIENT SHOULD AVOID

Stomach ulcers can be cured if prompt attention is paid to it (in form of drugs, lifestyle management amongst other things, another thing that helps to keep ulcer in check is the type of food one eats.

In ulcer patients, some foods are best avoided so as not to keep irritating the already sore area:

    1. Spicy Seasonings/Foods

Spicy foods irritate the lining of the stomach and by extension the sore area. Spicy foods are also known to make ulcer symptoms worse in some cases.

    2. Coffee

Coffee actually doesn’t cause ulcer but irritates it. The caffeine present in coffee erodes the already sore area (ulcer) making it worse and if the goal is to heal the ulcer, it is best to stay away from coffee or reduce taking it to the barest minimum.

    3. Alcohol

An ulcer patient should avoid alcohol/alcohol beverages as a whole. Alcohol intake increases the stomach’s acid level making the ulcer worse and healing almost impossible.

    4. Red Meat

Ulcer patients (especially peptic) should stay away from red meat! Red meat takes longer to digest making acid level in the stomach to rise which irritates the area and worsens the symptoms. This can be replaced with chicken, turkey and other lean proteins.

    5. Refined Foods

Pasta, white bread sugar, and more processed foods should be replaced with leafy greens and vegetable antioxidants loaded fruits with lots of water.

  • BENEFITS OF DRINKING GINGER WATER

    BENEFITS OF DRINKING GINGER WATER

It’s a refreshing way to stay hydrated, but are there health benefits to drinking ginger water?

Move over lemon water, there might be a cool kid in town – ginger water! Also known as ginger tea, this drink is becoming quite popular due to all the health claims surrounding ginger itself. Technically, though, using ginger has been around for centuries. And if we get really specific, it’s been used for medicinal purposes to treat mostly stomach aches, diarrhea and nausea in Asia for more than 2,500 years. Hmm, maybe like so much else, it seems more popular today because of Instagram.

Anyway, the health claims are endless: alleviate nausea, improve symptoms from rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis, lower blood sugar and cholesterol levels, prevent blood clotting and even

decrease one’s risk for Alzheimer’s disease. But is there conclusive scientific research to substantiate any of this? The answer is both yes and no.

  • 5 PROVEN TIPS TO LOOK YOUNGER

5 PROVEN TIPS TO LOOK YOUNGER

What you do for a livelihood, how you dress, what you eat, your sleeping habits, all have effects on how young or old you appear.

    Below are tips that will help you look younger;

    1. Exercise more

Exercising is a perfect way to help you look younger. Keeping a good body activity actually slows down aging at the cellular level. Exercising or rather working out has been linked with slower aging and longevity.

    2. Get enough sleep

Lack of proper sleep has great effects on how you look especially on your skin. When you don’t get enough sleep, you tend to have a dry complexion which messes your looks. When we sleep, the body gets rid of dead cells and replace them with new ones.

    3. Fish, especially trout is said to be good at preventing premature wrinkles formation on your skin. Fish contains omega-3 fatty acids which aid in smooth skin.

    4. Stress causes physical changes in the body that can actually accelerate aging. This is because of adrenaline and cortisol hormones produced that cause high blood pressure and a faster heartbeat. These make you age faster.

    5. Consume enough vegetables

Vegetables have a lot of important nutrients and have no calories. Most vegetables have carotenoids especially beta carotene which is good at protecting skin from aging. Best sources of beta carotene are carrots, pumpkin, and sweet potatoes.

  • 4 FOODS TO AVOID WHEN BREASTFEEDING

4 FOODS TO AVOID WHEN BREASTFEEDING

Breast milk has the perfect combination of proteins, fats, vitamins, and carbohydrates.

For infants to survive, grow and develop properly they require the right proportion of nutrients. Breast milk is rich in nutrients and anti-bodies and contains the right quantities of fat, sugar, water and protein.

These nutrients are major pre-requisites to the health and survival of the baby. When a child is exclusively breastfed, their immune system is strengthened, enabling it to life-threatening illnesses like pneumonia and diarrhoea amongst other infections.

It is important to watch what you eat for your baby to develop properly even after delivery.

while not all babies react to the same foods, here are 4 foods to avoid while breastfeeding your baby.

    Citrus fruits

It is very important for a lactating mother to carefully select the foods they eat because babies gastrointestinal tract is still immature during the few months.

Some of the compounds in citrus fruits can be especially irritating. Citrus can cause spitting up, fussiness, or even diaper rash. A breastfeeding mother can substitute citrus foods with pineapple, mango or watermelon instead.

    Chocolates

Chocolates, especially dark chocolate contains antioxidants that are good for the body, skin and hair. Did you also know that chocolate contains caffeine? Eating foods containing chocolate can have a laxative effect—on the baby.

Watch your baby’s behaviour, and diapers—if she becomes fussy or has a runny poop after you eat chocolate, that means it’s time to cut back or eliminate it.

    Fish.

Some types of fish like salmon contains omega 3 fatty acids which the body needs to function properly. However, some fish can be high in mercury, which can find its way into your milk supply. Follow the same rules for eating fish as you did when you were pregnant and everything should be OK.

    Peanuts

It is always advisable to avoid eating peanuts until after your baby is weaned especially if you have a history of peanut allergy in your family.

8 COMMON FIGHTS THAT OCCURS IN RELATIONSHIP.

We all fight with our significant other and sometimes over irrelevant issues, though, couples fight are normal and a fact of life but the most important thing is not taking it to be a big deal.

    Truth be told, it is sometimes good to argue with your partner because it will help you move out of your comfort zone and realize the significance of your partner, though sometimes we want to have the upper hand in our relationship and we cross the line just to have the last word, without further  here are 8 normal fights couples have;

    1. He wants to spend money on this and you want to spend the money on that, this happens so often e.g you want to go on vacation and your significant other want to buy new tires to his cars. He doesn’t agree to the vacation and you disagree with the buying of new tires.

    2. He wants to have sex and you don’t, this can also cause argument and fight that are unnecessary.

    3. He hugged the duvet the whole night, this is one of the most common fights couples have. Every time you move closer to your partner at night, he or she pulls an inch away.

    4. You were late getting ready for the party again, this is common with women as they will want to look fascinating and as such they (female partner) will not see what the problem was.

    5. His mom said something snarky to you and he didn’t defend you in front of her.

    6. He forgot your important event, hopefully, he has good reasons and you should know that he loves you more regardless of anything.

  • THINGS A WOMAN SHOULDN’T DO FOR A MAN.

THINGS A WOMAN SHOULDN’T DO FOR A MAN.

You do not have to lose yourself or your happiness just because you are in a relationship with a man

It’s surprising sometimes the things ladies do to please their men all in the name of love. Some even go as far as losing themselves in the process of doing their best to keep him.

However, the fact that some things are done in the name of love does not guarantee that they are the right things to do.

    1.Halting your dreams for him

If your man ever puts you in a situation where you are supposed to choose between your career dreams and him, put yourself first. Don’t allow the tentacles of love to steal your focus and aspiration. It is your dream, don’t compromise that for anything.

Rather be with someone who will be your cheerleader instead of adding to your headache.

    2. Never give in to demands if you do not want to

If you are not comfortable with his demands, you don’t have to hide to it just to prove your love for him.

We are different people with different preferences, ideas, experiences and many more.

    3. Change your appearance

Don’t alter your look for your man just because of what he labels “his type” or “fetish”.

They should love you for you, and all of you. If your weight, hair, or style really bothers him, he’s clearly not with you for the right reasons.

Any physical changes you make should be made because you want them, not for attention or for someone else

    4.Giving him too much power

Don’t accord him soo much power to operate where his silence makes you question yourself worth.

A strong woman plays by her rules and doesn’t sit around for instructions. You should be assertive and go forward with your own decisions rather than seek validation from someone else. You’re grown enough to know what’s best for you.

WE ARE DYING FROM BAD ODOURS AT KANESHIE MARKET

The people of the Kaneshie market are seriously commenting about lack of rubbish bin (dust bin) which makes people dump their refuse anywhere and also leaves them with bad odor which is very harmful to their health.

In an interview with some of the people at the market by D FM reporter, he was told that due to lack of rubbish bin, people from different angles of the market have made the center of the market a rubbish site which is also dangerous to the people who sit beside the place and sell their products.

Madam Doreen who is an okro seller at the market talked about the problems they face at the market because of the rubbish site. “We sit here and sell our goods and go back home with sickness. People don’t buy from us any longer because they see the place as a dirty market”, she added.

Madam Afua who is also a potato seller told D Fm news, they pay tax every day but they do not see the essence of paying their tax. Our leaders at the market send letters to the GRA and NADMO but we haven’t heard any response from them.
