  • LEAVE HON. CATHERINE AFEKU ALONE OR FACE OUR WRATH

Our attention has been drawn to a comment made by Grace Omabo known in entertainment circles as Maame Dokono on Okay FM’s entertainment show which was hosted by Halifax on  25th November 2019.

Maame Dokono on the show alleged that Hon Catherine Afeku did not attend to her when She wanted to discuss creative Arts issues with the minister.

Nzema Youth Forum for Development calls on the general public to disregard that malicious, untrue and fabricated story which is clearly borne out of frustration and desperation.

The facts are that when Hon. Catherine was the minister for Creative Arts and Tourism, Maame Dokono visited her office ostensibly to seek support for a funeral.

Unfortunately for her, she didn’t get the chance to see Hon. Catherine because she wasn’t present at that particular moment but was warmly received by the HR and madam Miriam at the ministry.

Maame Dokono later went on Bola Ray’s Show on 28th Feb 2018 to falsely accuse the PA of Hon. Catherine for preventing her from seeing the Hon. Minister when she had Never met the PA. This can easily be verified from Star Fm.

Today the same maame Dokono is falsely accusing Hon. Catherine for confronting her on some comments  She made about the Creative Arts industry on peace FM without mentioning categorically which comments caused the confrontation if there was.

Our checks with our MP, our Mother and Daughter revealed that Nothing, absolutely nothing of the sort happened.

It is obvious that Maame Dokono has set out to denigrate, malign and mudsling the hard-earned reputation of Hon Catherine Afeku for whatever reason we do not know. Her tales of untruth and propaganda have caught up with her and we would like to advise her to focus on her ailing Drama career and stop lying about Hon. Catherine.

Besides Hon. Catherine left the ministry in 2019 February

What would prompt Maame Dokono to be still obsessed with her?

Their evil deeds will expose them.

Leave Hon. Catherine alone or face our wrath.Hon. Catherine is a well trained,  educated and courageous Nzema woman who exhibits respects and humility for all.

We put on record that the meeting Maame Dokono had with the HR of the Ministry was personal and not in the interest of the creative arts industry.

We dare Maame Dokono to tell Ghanaians the exact comments she made that attracted the confrontation from the Hon. Minister, where and when she made that very comment, who was there during that confrontations.

If she is seeking favor from the new Minister, she should come clear and leave our hard-working MP and mother alone.

We unreservedly call on Maame Dokono to retract and apologize to Hon Catherine Afeku and the good people of Nzema or face our wrath.

As president Akufo Addo seeks to increase women’s participation in governance, we call on our mothers to support their own and protect them, rather than gossiping, legs pulling and backbiting.

Hon Catherine is focused and will not be distracted.

  • COMMON MISTAKES YOU MAKE WHEN BRUSHING YOUR TEETH

COMMON MISTAKES YOU MAKE WHEN BRUSHING YOUR TEETH

    1. Using a hard bristle toothbrush

Brushes with hard bristles used with some force can remove the protective enamel coating your teeth. This results in sensitive teeth and gums that hurt when you drink something cold. Here are the common mistakes you make when brushing your teeth.

    2. Using too much force

If you grip your brush hardly, chances are that you are scrubbing your pearly whites with a lot of unnecessary force. You are after all, only trying to brush away food particles and remove plaque, not buff them forcefully with sandpaper. Here are the common mistakes you make when brushing your teeth.

    3. Not brushing long enough

There are a lot of toothbrush timers on the market that urge brushing for just one minute. That’s not enough time to get the gunk off your chompers. Scientists suggest brushing for two minutes, twice a day. Here are the common mistakes you make when brushing your teeth.

    4. Not cleaning your tongue

When brushing, Don’t forget to clean your tongue as well as it prevents bad breath and removes bacteria.

A tongue cleaner scrapes the residual bacteria off your tongue. If you don’t want to do that – get a toothbrush that has a tongue scraper on the opposite side.

    5. Neglecting inner side of teeth

Brushing your front teeth is important for a brilliant smile but remember that plaque forms on the inner surface of your teeth as well so don’t just focus on brushing your outer teeth, always remember to brush your inner teeth also. Here are the common mistakes you make when brushing your teeth.

    6. Keeping your toothbrush in the toilet

If you place your toothbrush right next to the toilet bowl then there are chances that your brush might retain some of the bacteria that lurk in the air right after you flush. Here are the common mistakes you make when brushing your teeth.

    7. Old toothbrushes

If the bristles are worn out and frayed, it’s time to change your toothbrush. The broken and rough bristles won’t function efficiently in eliminating the plague as they lose their flexibility in reaching out for every nook and cranny. A toothbrush is recommended for 3 months only, after that change it to a new one

MOU TAKES A SWIPE AT FORMER CLUBS’ ACADEMIES

New Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho appears to have taken a swipe at the academies of his former clubs – which include Chelsea and Manchester United – whilst praising the youth set-up at Spurs.

Mourinho has not often been associated with the development of young players, but he insists that it is something that he wants to do.

However, he feels that the groundwork was not laid for him to do so in previous jobs, whilst he believes that Spurs have an academy that can be utilised.

I really like this squad and looking to the young players – there is not one manager in the world that doesn’t like to play young players and to help young players to develop – not one,” Mourinho said to Tottenham’s official website.

The problem is that sometimes you get into clubs where the work that is below you is not good enough to produce these players, so I look to our history and you see that the academy is always giving the talents that the first team needs. Of course, I look forward to [working] with that profile.

To play against Tottenham at White Hart Lane was always hard but beautiful. It was one of these places where I used to go with passion but also with respect. I always spoke about the club’s potential. I always spoke about the qualities of the players. I always spoke about the magnificent work the club was doing.

EXTEND TIME FOR GHANA CARD REGISTRATION EXERCISE – AHAFO NDC

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Ahafo region led by its secretary  Assanaba Imoro is demanding a one-month extension for the ongoing exercise of the National Identification Authority (NIA) card.

According to him, the exercises have been fraught with extreme challenges, hence, the majority of the Ahafo region population will go unregistered if the duration is not extended.

After touring some registration centers in the Ahafo Region, Mr. Assanaba expressed concern over the “poorly organized” Ghana Card registration exercise currently going on in the region.”

Mr Assanaba Imoro indicated that if the right things were not done to address the challenges confronting the exercise in the region, there would be a lack of confidence in the exercise which would make the NDC to resist any attempt to use the card as a requirement by the Electoral Commission (EC) for the 2020 polls.

BAWUMIA CUTS SOD FOR EASTERN CORRIDOR ROADS CONSTRUCTION

Construction works on the 88-kilometer Hohoe-Jasikan to Dodo Pepesu stretch of the Eastern Corridor Road has commenced. The Jasikan-Dodo Pepesu Project forms part of Phase 1 of the $2billion Government of Ghana/ Sinohydro Master Project Agreement.

Accompanied by the Minister for Roads and Highways. Hon Kwesi Amoako Atta and the traditional rulers of Oti Region the Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia on Tuesday, 19th November, cut sod at Jasikan for works to begin on the stretch of road which has a long and painful history of neglect under the erstwhile government.

The Vice President noted that of all the critical roads listed in the 2020 budget, Hohoe-Jasikan and Jasikan-Dodo Pepesu are the only roads to commence. Indeed, contractors for these projects mobilized to site two weeks before Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta presented the 2020 Budget statement in Parliament. Dr. Bawumia also noted that at the time these projects were initiated, both roads were part of the Volta region.

The Eastern Corridor Roads project, allotted as N2 of the National Road Network, begins from the Tema Motorway through to the Volta, Oti, Northern, North East, and Upper East regions to neighboring Burkina Faso.

Dr Bawumia assured residents of Oti Region that the government would ensure the project is completed on schedule, and they would receive their fair share of development projects as all regions shall be receiving.

Vice President Bawumia reiterated the government’s plan for fixing critical roads in the country. According to him, sods will be cut for the Cape Coast inner city roads and Nyinahini area roads this week under the Infrastructure for Bauxite facility. The rest of the other approved lots are expected to be undertaken soon.

Vice President Bawumia announced many other projects to be undertaken by Government in the Oti region.

On behalf of the Oti region, Nana Aburam Akpandza V, Paramount Chief of Buem and Chairman of Buem Traditional Council, who chaired the sod-cutting ceremony, expressed satisfaction at the show of concern by the government towards the development of their roads.

Present at the sod-cutting ceremony were Hon. Kwesi Owusu Yeboah (Oti Regional Minister), Mr. Zhang Nianmu (President of Powerchina West Africa and Central Africa of which Sinohydro is a subsidiary), representatives of Embassy of China, Hon. Michael Yao Jato (MP for Krachi East and Deputy Minister for Sanitation), and dozens of chiefs from the Oti region.

  • NDC CAN NEVER WIN ELECTIONS IN GHANA IF WE VOTE YES ~ ASIEDU NKETIA

NDC CAN NEVER WIN ELECTIONS IN GHANA IF WE VOTE YES ~ ASIEDU NKETIA

The General Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress, Johnson Asiedu Nketia made some interesting points in relation to their decision to abandon the YES ship to pitch camp with the NO boat in an interview monitored by dikoder. Com

He also offers us a glimpse into the reasons behind their sudden U-turn with respect to the decision to have MMDCEs elected on party lines.

To him, political parties struggle to raise funds to sponsor Parliamentary candidates in elections, so adding the local level elections to this would make it highly impossible for opposition parties to win elections.

This, he intimated, would give the party in power an undue advantage and make Ghana a one-party state, making it difficult for a party like the NDC to come back to power.

His point is that a party in power can easily mobilize funds to prosecute elections unlike those in opposition.

A cursory analysis of this admission by Asiedu Nketia manifestly suggests that the NDC has chickened out of the YES train because they feel allowing MMDCEs to be voted on party lines would be detrimental to the survival of the NDC.

What still remains a mystery is why the NDC supported the YES vote all this while when armed with this information.

When did it dawn on them that they could be kept on the sidelines of opposition if they supported the YES campaign?
