Information reaching dikoder.com indicates that most of the Gospel musicians in the Western Region are not paid well and this has rended most of the artiste very poor after investing much into the ministry and the love to do music .
EL Manuel who once emerged as the Gospel Artiste of the year in the region in the year 2017 narrated why most of the artiste including himself will do “pay before i play ” . According to him, most of the artiste are without managers and this has given most of the pastors and the few event organizer who invite them on their programs to perform without paying thhem.
EL Manuel made this statement when speaking to fiifi shepherd’s on D fm`s Mid Morning Entertainment show. He also concluded that many of the pastors will build cordial relations with you and hence take advantage of that by asking for your services during programs . He is also calling on the Gospel department of the Musicians Union of Ghana to do something about what artiste out of the city goes through.

It is alleged that , some djs and Presenters in the central region are taking huge sum of money from underground artiste before they play their songs , this was confirmed to dikoder.com during an interview session with Nana Oduro on the entertainment extra program with J Clouds on D_fm.
Nana Oduro, fast emerging and talented high life singer , who also doubles as a trained nurse in the region , narrating the what has been the current trend in the region spoke about the difficulties some of them go through as underground artiste before their songs could enjoy some air play . According to him , djs in the region takes close to Ghc 500 or more before they play your song . This he said has caused many of them to hit back to the street forgetting about their talents to make money .
He was also grateful to some sound engineers in the region for their contribution and love for the young one`s. Nana Oduro is currently promoting his latest High Life song titled “All for you” which he featured Abena

News reaching dikoder.com indicates that Zylofon signee and Ghana’s self-acclaimed Dancehall King, Charles Nii Armah Mensah known in Showbiz as Shatta Wale could soon lose his East Legon mansion and some vehicles as there are plans by Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) to confiscate them as part of measures in retrieving properties of Menzgold and its subsidiary companies.

According to sources, the building and cars are still in the name of the parent organization Zylofon Media and could only be transferred to the name of the musician upon completion of his contract expected to end in a number of years.

There are moves to start seizing assets of the embattled gold dealership firm as part of efforts in recouping locked up cash of customers who have been on the heels of government to intervene.

It is unclear when officials of EOCO will start confiscating these properties but our source indicates that a number of them have been listed out and background on their true ownership done which now paves the way for them to move in.

EOCO earlier this week froze the accounts of Nana Appiah Mensah who is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Menzgold and is seeking public support to locate other accounts either locally or internationally to freeze them, pending the outcome of investigations into allegations he has defrauded some persons by false pretenses.

The Executive Director of EOCO, Mr. K.K Amoah who suspects NAM 1 could be operating with different account names is urging the public to volunteer such information to his outfit in order to track such transactions as part of ongoing investigations.

“What we are telling the public is that anyone with information on his other accounts should let us know because we believe he might have used different names to open such accounts and so friends, family should let us know about other accounts,” he urged on Accra-based Adom Fm.

It would be recalled that in March last year, Zylofon Music offered a juicy package of $1.5 million together with a house and a Rolls Royce car to the musician.

Though officials of Zylofon refused to confirm the rumours of the package, they said the three-year contract included a non-disclosure clause which prevents both parties from giving details of the deal.

He explained that unless the manager puts his music career on hold and focuses on just managing it will be difficult for his signees to become successful. “I don’t want to mention names but most A-List musicians who signed other artistes failed them and the best solution is for them to stop managing them,” Nacee stated.
