Bulldog describes government handling of MenzGold saga as shambolic

After several weeks of silence on issues on MenzGold, Artiste Manager of Zylofon Media, Nana Asiamah Hanson alias Bulldog has finally spoken from his hideout in Russia, MyNewsGh.com reports.

MenzGold, a Gold Dealership company is currently facing challenges of paying their clients their dividends and principals for monies they invested there.

Bulldog who in sometime past said, Nana Appiah Mensah, the owner of MenzGold could give the government a loan of $50 billion, has for months now been quiet on issues regarding MenzGold.

But in a Facebook Livestream on his page, the artiste manager mentioned that he and his associates have monies locked up at the Gold Dealership company.

However, he will not blame the managers of MenzGold but the government of Ghana for its shambolic handling of issues with regards to MenzGold.

Bulldog referring to the statement issued by the Ministry of Information, he mentioned that clearly, Government is confused and does not know what it’s doing.

To him, SEC and the BoG had not authority or right to interfere in the business of MenzGold and therefore SEC should not have halted the operations of the legally registered entity which has been paying huge taxes for the past five years.

He noted that the various demonstrations by the aggrieved customers of MenzGold are not going to get government’s intervention but to drum home the need for government to leave MenzGold to operate.

He described the Akufo-Addo led government as incompetent adding that their management of the economy has been shambolic.

  • Voting ends with many voting YES

Voting ends with many voting YES

Voting in the referendum on the creation of six new regions has ended and provisional results available to Joy News shows YES received a massive endorsement in almost all affected areas.

If the results are approved by the Electoral Commission, then six new regions will be created. These are Oti, Bono East, Savannah, Ahafo, Western North and North East.

A total of four million voters were expected to vote in the referendum.

But the many YESs will not quite translate into the creation of a new region. The constitution stipulates 50 percent turnout and 80 percent out of that number voting YES. Only then can a new region be created.

The exercise began at 7am on Thursday with a few hitches. While attendance was massive in some parts, others recorded low turnout.

But largely, the process has been peaceful and incident-free.

Ohemeng Tawiah is in Brong Ahafo where two regions – Ahafo and Bono East – will be created if the requirements are met through the votes.

He reports at the Tankani Primary School in Atebub-Amentin, one of the many polling stations, 41 voted YES. The area had 43 registered voters.

At the Hwidiem SHS ‘A’ polling station also in the Brong Ahafo region, out of the 513 registered voters, 473 voted YES. Only two voted NO with two rejected ballots.

Still at Hwidiem, at the Osuodumgya SHS ‘A’ 604 voted YES and two voted NO. Some 607 voters out of the 762 registered voters turned out to cast their ballot.

In the Western region at the Anglican Primary School, ‘B’ 439 voted YES, none voted NO. At the Anglican primary School ‘A’, 452 out of 769 voted YES, none voted NO.

At the Arms Polling Station ‘A’ in the Techiman South Constituency, 636 voted YES, two voted NO and there was one rejected ballot.

Vice President Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia also cast his ballot at Walewale

Hashmin Mohammed is in the Northern region and reports that at the Asalia Primary ‘B’ polling station 452 out of 478 registered voted YES, none voted NO. Two spoilt ballots were recorded.

In the Volta regional town of Akpafu, however, some youth decided to boycott the vote. They told Joy News correspondent Mawuli Yevu Agbi, they had no interest in the process as they did not call for the creation of the Oti region.

As of 2 PM at the Akpafu Odomi E.P. Primary School, only nine people had voted and at the end of polls, only 1.8 percent of eligible voters had cast their ballot at the SCMB polling station.

The situation was different at the Jasikan district. At the District Council Hall polling station, 356 voted YES, two voted No.

A woman’s chest is my comfort after heavy criticism – Kidi

Talented musician Kidi says whenever he comes across heavy criticisms, all he needs to do is to rest his head on the chest of a woman. Kidi, who holds the opinion that no man can live a thorough life without a woman, also believes that there are women who were made to render support to their men rather than lead.

Known for songs such as “Odo,” “Adiepena,” “Thunder” and more, the Lynx Entertainment signee also revealed that he preferred dating women six years older than him.

  • Date for Asamoah Gyan and wife’s DNA test finally fixed and it’s in 2018

Date for Asamoah Gyan and wife’s DNA test finally fixed and it’s in 2018

Asamoah Gyan and wife Gifty in happier times

The final date for the conduct of a DNA test to ascertain the paternity of all the three children of Mr and Mrs Asamoah Gyan has been fixed, MyNewsGh.com can confirm. We have all the details of the DNA test which comes off exactly four (4) days from today in a trusted private health facility in Accra, contrary to Mrs Gyan’s proposal. An earlier report we filed revealed how wife of Asamoah Gyan was proposing a police Hospital DNA test under CID supervision to ensure the results was not tampered with. Another proposal emerged for the test to be conducted abroad which was also not accepted. Reliable sources within the Gyan family told MyNewsGh.com how Asamoah Gyan finally admitted that he “ordered” his elder brother Baffour Gyan to file for the DNA request on his behalf as he was out of jurisdiction at the time, expressing worry about attacks on his brother as a “home-breaker”, eyeing his properties. It is not yet clear what “secret” evidence Asamoah Gyan and his brother Baffour Gyan have against Mrs Gifty Gyan regarding the paternity of the Asamoah’s three children, but the Gyan brothers have insisted that they are very sure they will be vindicated if the DNA test were conducted immediately, MyNewsGh.com was told. Currently, Gifty Gyan’s 2002 marriage of convenience for a Visa allegedly with the knowledge of the then Liberty Professionals player Asamoah Gyan, is the subject of a raging court battle between she and her husband of 5 years and fiancée of 11 years. They married in 2013 after they had dated for 11 years. She got pregnant in 2005 and gave birth to the player’s firstborn Frederick Asamoah Gyan who is son Asamoah Gyan says looked like 4×4’s Captain Planet and Prince David Osei combined. The Black Stars Captain is therefore praying the marriage court to wipe the marriage off the record (annulment) as if it never happened. So far, the DNA test which was supposed to take place on the 19th November, 2018 was rescheduled on the request of Baffour Gyan, acting on the authority of his brother Asamoah Gyan. The new date is now 26th December, 2018. Reliable sources within the family told MyNewsGh.com how Asamoah Gyan has reportedly refused to talk to Gifty or the three children since August when he filed for annulment in court. Already, it has been revealed that Asamoah Gyan only saw his children 2 or 3 times every year, when he visited them to take pictures to post on his social media or on their birthdays which he seldom made time for. He also visited his children and wife with a huge entourage everytime, making it impossible for the nuclear family to have quality time together which also contributed to the strain between the couple.   Source: mynewsgh.com

PARLIAMENT APPROVES ABOUT GHS500M FOR ENERGY MINISTRY

Parliament has approved about 500 million Ghana cedis for the Ministry of Energy to spend in the 2019 fiscal year.

The amount is expected to be used to enhance activities in the Power sub sector and the Petroleum Sub-sector.

Speaking on the floor of parliament, the Chairman of the Committee of Mines and Energy, Emmanuel Akwasi-Gyamfi was hopeful the budget will resolve challenges in the power sector as well as improve activities in agencies under the ministry.

“The ministry has been allocated a total amount of 500,964,480 million to implement its programmes and activities for the 2019 financial year. Out of this amount 19,775,936.66 million Ghana cedis and 27,857,842.02 representing 3.9% and 5.5% have been earmarked for compensation and goods and services respectively,” he told members of the House.

Meanwhile some members of parliament on the Mines and Energy Committee are unhappy about the actual funds that goes to the Ministry of Energy to undertake projects in the Petroleum and power sub-sectors of the country.

The development, according to the MPs is badly affecting government’s aim of expanding electricity to rural areas.

Reacting on the floor of parliament, Minority Spokesperson on Energy and a member of the Mines and Energy Committee, Adam Mutawakilu pointed out that the situation is having a negative effect on the energy sector.

“If you look at the actual money that went to the ministry it was less than what was approved. This I believe affected the rural electrification project. The government can do better,” he said.

  • GHANA ENGAGES MORE FOREIGN TRADE MISSIONS TO BOOST FDI

GHANA ENGAGES MORE FOREIGN TRADE MISSIONS TO BOOST FDI

As part of efforts to achieve Ghana’s $10 billion dollar foreign direct investment (FDI) target for 2018, the country has in the past few weeks hosted different Trade Missions from a number of countries including Slovenia, Turkey and Belgium.   All the trade missions have made it an objective to first of all find local partners in Ghana, import their products and then subsequently consider setting up manufacturing plants in Ghana.   The latest trade mission to Ghana has over fifty Belgian companies from the three regions of Belgium namely Flanders, Wallonia and Brussels who are looking to exploit possible business partnerships during their visit to the country.   Some of the companies include A-Law International Law Firm, ACB Group, COMEXAS Group, Donaldson Filtration Solutions and Puratos among others.   The companies represent various sectors such as health, environment, agriculture, pharmaceuticals and construction.   The rest are energy, education, water supply, sanitation and Information Communication Technology (ICT). The Minister for Planning, Prof. George Gyan-Baffour, said at a forum that Ghana needs to engage the foreign trade missions with the full realization that it is competing with other countries in the West African sub-region.   “A lot of the foreign businesses want to come to West Africa, and the question is whether it will be Ghana or another West African country. So, it is up to us to let them know what the difference is between Ghana and the other countries so that Ghana becomes the destination of choice. We need continuously to have a government that is friendly to businesses and private sector in general, and that is how this government is trying to position itself. Once we are able to do that effectively we will get investors in.”   For one of the lead persons on the Belgium trade mission to Ghana, Johan Malin, who is a Project Manager at Flanders Investment and Trade, even though Ghana’s is a favored destination, other countries within the sub-region are also competing to take business away from Ghana.   “You start with exports and then eventually consider investments. Currently I know of two big companies who are looking at different West African countries to invest in. What I can say for certain is that Ghana is a stable destination for businesses.”   According to the United Nations COMTRADE database on international trade, Ghana’s Imports from Belgium was US$718.81 Million dollars during 2017, while Ghana’s Exports to Belgium was US$155.8 Million during 2017.   For Professor Gyan-Baffour Ghana will have to do all it can for now to position itself as the best investment destination in order to balance the trade numbers between the 2 countries.   “We have to showcase ourselves to these countries out there, mainly because they don’t know us very well. So, we have to market ourselves as an investment destination and not just in-terms of general trade. Currently we import everything, and that can’t be changed overnight. The best way forward will be to let these foreign missions to come and invest in Ghana so that whatever they want to export to other destinations especially to other West African countries, will be manufactured here.” Source: citinewsroom
  • ARTISTES SHOULDN’T MANAGE OTHER ARTISTES – NACEE

ARTISTES SHOULDN’T MANAGE OTHER ARTISTES – NACEE

Popular sound engineer, Nana Kwaku Osei, known in showbiz circles as Nacee is a man of many parts.   Apart from being a beat maker, he is also a singer, producer and sometimes manager, having formed the No Tribe Band and the Skulfuo group. And it is perhaps from his experiences that he says artistes should not be managing their fellow artistes. According to Nacee, there are so many things that go wrong when artistes manage their colleagues and a number of examples attest to this. “First, there will be competition among the manager and his signees. Imagine Richie of Lynx Entertainment was still singing and making hits all over, how would he have been able to get KiDi, Kuami Eugene and MzVee to where they are? “When there are gigs to be played, the top artiste will think of his interest first before his signee because they are competing,” he said. He explained that unless the manager puts his music career on hold and focuses on just managing it will be difficult for his signees to become successful. “I don’t want to mention names but most A-List musicians who signed other artistes failed them and the best solution is for them to stop managing them,” Nacee stated. Known for songs such as Yewo Nyame Yewo Adze, Efatawo, Elavanyo, E Be God, Fire Burn You and Time With Go, the award-winning sound engineer has been around for more than a decade giving Ghanaians good music. He has produced and featured most of the A-list musicians in Ghana including Ohemaa Mercy, SP Sarpong, Ernest Opoku, Joe Mettle, OJ, Ceccy Twum, Cwesi Oteng, Guru among others. Nacee who has been off the music radar for some time now released a new single Afehyia Pa which he describes as his Christmas gift to Ghanaians on Wednesday, December 5. Source: Graphic Showbiz

  • MY FAMILY WILL CURSE ME IF I TURN DOWN AN OPPORTUNITY TO BE AN AMERICAN – KWAKU MANU

MY FAMILY WILL CURSE ME IF I TURN DOWN AN OPPORTUNITY TO BE AN AMERICAN – KWAKU MANU

One of Kumawood‘s finest actors, Kwaku Manu has disclosed that he has no plans to turn down the offer of an American citizenship should it ever be offered to him.

The comic actor in a chit-chat with zionfelix.net stated that if even he decided to turn down the offer for reasons which will be best known to him, his entire family will surely curse him because it will be a very unwise decision.

Kwaku revealed that his decision comes out of the many problems Ghana is faced with which are not getting any tangible solutions to them. Speaking on Zionfelix Uncut during a presentation of some items and payment of bills for some sick people at the Okomfo Anokye Teaching Hospital by his ‘mom’, Prophetess Vida Osei Mensah, the actor enumerated many of the problems facing Ghana.

He listed the lack of ambulances, the inadequate infrastructure in the health sector, the lack of maintenance culture for health facilities as part of the many reasons why he will gladly give up his Ghanaian citizenship without thinking twice about it.

The actor and musician who is also known as Bob Siga quoted a surprising philosophical saying to back his case. He stated that sometimes there is the need to sell one’s mother to get power, for once the power is acquired, the individual can gladly go back and get his mother back. Which was to say that he will gladly sell his Ghanaian citizenship to go out there and work in order to come back to the country and help out because the leaders are failing to a very large extent.

ANY MAN WHO FAILS TO GIVE HIS WOMAN AN ORGASM IS GOING TO HELL – COUNSELLOR LUTTERODT

If you are a believer of either the Bible or the Quran and you have ever wondered the things that might prevent you from going to Heaven, then controversial marriage counselor, George Lutterodt, has a very simple message for you.

According to George Lutterodt, if you are a man out there and you live according to all the principles prescribed by both the Bible and Quran but fail to give your woman an orgasm and the needed pleasure anytime you have sexual intercourse with her, then you have to totally forget about ever making it to heaven.

In a short speech at Prophet Sampson Amoateng’s ‘Stars in Worship’ which took place at the House of Miracle Ministries at Madina Estate, the controversial marriage counselor who was preaching about the importance of orgasm made the point that a man’s ability to effectively satisfy his woman in bed is part of the reasons why God created him and as such any man who fails to do that, will surely go to hell.

He also reiterated during his orgasm speech that any man who has a challenge sexually will surely have a problem with his spiritual life because sexual intercourse is important to worship. Counsellor Lutterodt also added that the process of worshipping is the same process one goes through when having sex and showed that, by touching his body on the stage.

WORLD COCOA SUPPLY SURPLUS TO GROW IN 2019

The global cocoa market will see a supply surplus of 71,900 tonnes in the current 2018/19 year, on the back of last year’s smaller surplus, Connecticut-based brokerage JSG Commodities said on Thursday.   That follows a surplus of 21,620 tonnes last year reported by the International Cocoa Organization.   World production is expected to be 4.81 million tonnes in the current crop year that began Oct. 1, higher than last year’s 4.64 million tonnes, said Eric Bergman, a vice president at JSG Commodities in Norwalk.   Total grindings in 2018/19 are expected to be 4.69 million tonnes, Bergman said.   Top producer Ivory Coast is in the midst of harvesting what is expected to be a record-large crop.   Output from second-largest producer Ghana appears to be stagnating, but steadily growing production from Ecuador is helping to offset the effects of that stagnation, Bergman said.
