Swaghaus Events , the organizers of the maiden Keteke Festival of Trade and Arts will host the 2nd edition of the festival tagged MATA- KETEKE 2019 in Accra precisely Mataheko from 21st – 28th December, 2019 under the theme: “BRINGING DEVELOPMENT THROUGH TOURISMl”.
MATA-KETEKE: Its a combination of two local words put together which is MATA means I will sit and KETEKE also means train . When u combine the two its gives you MATA – KETEKE meaning “I will sit in a train. There are so many festivals in the system till date and each of them has its own significance and history. This very festival is mainly focusing on trade. In most developing countries, train has been one of the fastest medium in moving people ,goods and materials from one place to the other either to trade or render services.
According to the organizers , the main idea of Mata- Keteke festival is to move people from one place to the other ,bringing them together and creating a one stock market for trade or render services. The festival will bring together over 10,000- 40,000 locals from mataheko and neighboring
communities like Russia, shukura, Dansoman ,kaneshie,Town council line Bubiashie coming together to form a large crowd for the fiesta . The festival is also aimed at targeting over 200 to 300 vendors both local and international.
The event in other way is aimed at giving artisans a platform to showcase and sell their artwork in the form of street painting, graffiti murals, photo exhibitions, interactive installations. Companies would also be given spaces to advertise their products to Ghanaians and international citizens who visit the three-day event.
The event is expected to usher in the Christmas festivities and bond the Dansoman Community which serves as a habitat for about 50,000 nationals.
ADVERTISEMENTA ….musical concert will be held to climax the event and would feature a host of musician in the country.
Speaking to this portal on the maiden edition of the program , the festival recorded a major boost in trade , entertainment and brought unity among the community members and traders .
Speaking on the 2nd edition, it is the aim of the organizers to create an afro-centric market for the locals to trade. To also bring development through tourism with the vision to bring development and promote tourism.

Bringing together Ghanaian creative and European based fine artists, with other artistic bodies to implement a 3-day creative design workshop to add value to the youth by teaching them how
