  • TAKE YOUR CHILD’S EDUCATION SERIOUS–Mr. Douglas Marfo

    Mr. Douglas Marfo also known as Kalakuta the proprietor for Kalakuta Educational complex in Techiman, the Bono East regional capital has urged all parents to make their children’s education a major priority. According to Mr. Marfo, most parents complain that they do not have money to afford their ward’s education but they get money for clothes for funerals and other occasions which is not much important.  He continued by saying all parents should plant all they have into their children education and they shall harvest it tomorrow.

    Again the formal director of education in Nkoranza North and South and also Techiman South Municipality, Dr. Agyeman Badu added to what Dr. Marfo said, by saying that, the only good property that can be left for our children is education. He said there is no land to farm on, in the country now, so if we plant for our children education it will be profitable one day.                           

     Finally, Mr. Isaac Nsia Edward, the Municipal Director of Education, Techiman south, also told all parents to focus and be responsible for their girl child education.  This happened when Kalakuta Foundation was having their third graduation at the school premises last Saturday.

    The Residents of senya Beraku in the Awutu Senya West District in the central region has demonstrated against the paramount Chief Nenyi Kweku Issiw VI for being a hindrance for the development of Senya Beraku projects community to help eliminate poverty.

    According to the aggrieved residents, the Senya Beraku community has suffered as the Chief  Nenyi kweku Issue vI has branded himself as an anti-development person who has denied the community of three major projects,  they will not sit down for things to go worse before complaining, he must descend from the thrown before we kill him. 

    They asserted that they had the opportunity to have the Presbyterian Church build their university in this community. But with his diabolical and evil agenda, he frustrated the investors and caused them to look elsewhere.

    Also, Winners Chapel entered the community to build their university, akin to Covenant University in Caananland, Nigeria. And again Nenyi Issiw has sent them to court and using every means to stop the university project.

    Therefore we are calling on the government of Ghana and the National House of Chiefs to come into our aid if not our next demonstration will be bloody. they state.

    SNR APOSTLE AHENKAN JABS OWUSU BEMPAH

    The General Overseer of Emmanuel Salvation Church, Snr Apostle Anthony Ahenkan has described prophesies from the Founder of Glorious Way Church Rev Isaac Owusu Bempah as prediction which has no biblical meaning.

    Commenting on an interview conducted by Prophet Kwabena Tawiah acknowledging Rev Owusu Bempah for making it known to the general public that he (Prophet Kwabena Tawiah) was the messiah behind NPP Election 2016 victory. Ahenkan said the two men of God don’t understand what they are doing in terms of Christianity.

     He stimulated that, how can a man of God claim he seeks powers from Rivers, Leafs, Ghost to work for NPP to win election 2016 and further threatened to endanger Nana Addo’s life. All these things are not biblical. Rev Owusu Bempah only predict but don’t prophesy because there’s a lot to prophesy than his numerous predictions.

    “I WANT TO SEE ORPHANS SMILE” – PHILANTHROPIST

    A philanthropist who goes by name Stephen Oppong in an interview with vhillageblogger has said that seeing a smile on the faces of orphaned children is a priority and a promise he wishes to keep.

    Mr. Stephen Oppong made his intentions known after a second donation to a children’s home.

    Berema Dee as some people call him made this generous offer when he paid a courtesy call on the orphans at “Mother Home Care Of Orphanage” at Oda Road in Swedru on 20th August, 2019.

    The items worth 5, 000 cedis included bags of rice, assorted drinks, biscuits, oil among others.

    He made a similar generous offer last year giving out items to the tune 3, 000 cedis to the children. He therefore vows to be doing this for as long as he can.

    I know how it feels to be an orphan and no parent chooses to die and leave their children behind as orphans”, he said. This is what motivates him to take up such philanthropic works. It is Mr. Oppong’s wish to always see food on the tables of most orphans if not all of them. “Seeing a smile on the faces of orphans is my priority”, he stated.

    Both the orphans as well as the workers appreciated the works of Berema Dee.

    “I believe as time goes on, I will be building schools and hospitals for them”, Berema Dee wishes.

    He therefore entreats all Ghanaians to spend money on the needy and orphans for no one chooses to be an orphan.

    94,000 DIE ANNUALLY FROM NON-COMMUNICABLE DISEASES EVERY YEAR

    Deputy Minister of Health, Mr. Alexander Kwodwo Kom Abban said the ministry was making NCD prevention and control a key priority and will ensure that the draft National NCD Policy is completed and adopted according to the deadline.

    In Ghana, the Non-Communicable Diseases Alliance (GhNCDA) has increased in terms of India herb smokers, alcohol, and cigaret. because it causes diseases like cancer, diabetes, chronic respiratory diseases, cardiovascular diseases but diabetes are responsible for about 43 % of all death in Ghana every year.

     According to Mr. Alexander Kwodwo, the efforts are being made to ensure that treatment of some NCDs is captured under the National Health Insurance Scheme as a way of preventing the burden of people living with NCDs with regard to economic costs and access to healthcare.

    Co-Ordinator of the alliance, Mr. Labram Musah reminded stakeholders in the health delivery system that “Ghana cannot afford to exclude NCDs from its national health and development agenda any longer; it cannot also ignore the role that those people living with NCDs must play in the shaping of policy to fight an epidemic”.

    According to GhNCDA, promoting healthy diets, physical activity, alcohol and India herb control, as well as combating air pollution through cost-effective measures are critical to reducing premature deaths and disability from NCDs.
