    MAKE ARABIC LANGUAGE COMPULSORY -SHEIK HANUN HINTED.

    The National President of Muslim Mission Secretariat, Sheik Hanun Almad Apaw, has passionate appeal to the government led by Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo, the ministry of education led by Hon. Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh and other authorities to make Arabic language compulsory in the basic schools as is been did to French language.

    According to him, government should let every student who will study Arabic language write an exams on it with their final years because over one thousand five hundred(1,500) Islamic schools across the country which they study language but the most painful accept is that our education ministry does not allow them to exercise their mind on their final years which is bad.

    Sheik Hanun further explain that, government and the ministry of education should allow the Islamic schools add Arabic language in their final year exams because is not a language of Muslims but rather a general language for the global world, but the most painful to him is that the ministry of education has been eliminating the Arabic language from the new curriculum . He there urging the government to make the Arabic language compulsory in the basic schools as is been did to Twi and French and others but should not eliminate it from the new curriculum.

    CONCERNED DRIVERS ASSOCIATION CALL FOR 30%INCREASE IN TRANSPORT

    We the Concerned Drivers Association are calling on the government to increase transport fares by 30% following the recent increase in fuel prices.

    The latest hike in fuel prices is having a toll on our income hence the need for government to increase transport fares by 30% with immediate effect.

    We are being cheated, every time the prices of fuel go up but transport fares remain the same. How is the government expecting us to get our money to take care of our families? We want the GPRTU and the government to increase the fares to about 30 percent because currently we the drivers are at a lost.

    Dr. Patricia Owusu Darko senior lecturer in food science, Kumasi Technical University has educated traders in food and beverages at Sunyani in the Bono region.

    through the ministry of tourism in cooperation with Ghana Tourism Authority in training and sensitization for informal food and beverage sector which they can take good care of managing and making food safety for human consumption in our living environment.

    She said this is the year of return as his Excellency the president announce as this year’s role in making our country better, so with this, it is also their responsibility to educate traders in food management to be able to know the role of the food business to attract tourist in Ghana.

     Dr. Patricia said that food is very important to human life and so need to make it decent and manage well since cleanness is part of daily life activities. She said they are educating the traders to know the rules and regulations in food management to make Ghana best in Africa

    She said most food we eat outside homes and in towns, cities are sometimes not managed well and need to be decent and look good. she also encouraging all food traders to do the right thing and push Ghana forward. she said the food is good for human and must be protected, prevent and manage well and this will help Ghana to be one of the best tourism counties in Africa  and even the globe

    Transport fares to go up by 10%

    The Ghana Private Road Transport Union (GPRTU) says effective September 16, public transport fares will go up by 10 percent.

    Explaining the basis for the increment, the Union said the various components that go into the running of commercial transport services has gone up.

    “This is to accommodate predominantly an increase in fuel prices,” Kwame Kuma, the National Chairman of GPRTU said in a statement, Tuesday.
    For some time now, the Union has called for an increment in their fares as prices of spare parts have gone up.

    The increased fares will cover intra-city (trotro), intercity (long-distance ride) and shared taxis.

    Mr. Kuma advised all members of the Union to comply with the “new fares and post the fare list at the loading terminals so as to avoid any confrontation with the traveling public.”

    The last time fares were increased was in January 2018.

    The Bono East Regional secretary of the NDC, ALI MOHAMMED SHAMSUDEEN has blasted government for causing financial loss to the state after organizing a touted accounting to the people’s Town Hall meeting under the auspices of the ministry of information which he saw as a kyinkyinga party since officials who came to address issues of concern failed but only drunk, win and dance to the detriment of the taxpayers money.

      Speaking to DFM Politica morning show host Agyaba, he added that all 11  MMDCE’S came to displayed what they have done in their respective areas which was full of deceit because almost every project they said to have done was started and some even completed by the NDC government under former President Mahama, Ali Mohammed said government should apologize to Ghanaians for wasting their precious time yesterday by deceiving them with tackling issues of concern to all Ghanaian.

     To this end, SHAMSUDEEN has charged all Ghanaians to vote against Nana Addo and bring back the tried and tested Former president John Mahama.

    The Founder And Leader for United Progressive Party (UPP), Mr. Akwasi Addai Odike believes the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the largest opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) have both done little in terms of fighting corruption while in office.

    “I will put both NPP and NDC in the same basket. None of them is doing better than others”, he observed when speaking to the media at his Press Conference.

    According to him, though it is his observation and not backed by evidence, from where he sits as a politician, both present and past governments are not doing enough to get rid of the corruption canker that has bedeviled the nation.

    He further explained the reason why both the two(2) leading parties in Ghana are all corrupt, they take money(bribe) before giving out an appointment, constructs, etc. So he, Odike is urging the entire nation to elect him as President in the 2020 general election of the Republic of Ghana, and he will fight against that corruption and make sure it is uprooted.

    Zimbabwe’s former president Robert Mugabe has died aged 95, the country’s President Emmerson Mnangagwa said on his official Twitter account.

    Mugabe died in Singapore, where he has often received medical treatment in recent years, a source with direct knowledge of the matter told Reuters.

    According to him, It will be his pleasure that one day I will wake up and see all Ashanti Region Roads fixed but the government of Ghana owes Constructors from 2012 to 2018.

    And the current Government led by His Excellency Nana Addo is fighting to get money to settle them so that those who have not completed their work will go and complete it as soon as possible.

    He assures Ghanaians that very soon contractors will go back to site and completes all road, especially in Ashanti Region.

    JAPAN’S TRADE ORGANISATION TO FRAMEWORK GHANA OFFICE

    The Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), the Japanese institution imposed with consolidating Japan’s efforts in export and speculation promotion, has signed an MoU with the government to establish an office in Ghana.

    Ghana playing host to the largest number of Japanese businesses in West Africa, the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of JETRO, Nobuhiko Sasaki, stimulated that the establishment of the office will surely lead to the furtherance of the promotion of Japanese businesses in Ghana. 

    At the signing ceremony in Yokohama, on the sidelines of the 7th Tokyo International Conference on African Development, Chairman Sasaki indicated that, in order to drive more Japanese companies into Ghana, “we would like to launch the office sometime in March next year.

     The President of the Republic of Ghana Akufo-Addo, in his remarks, expressed his delight at the signing of the MoU with JETRO, and its subsequent decision to set-up shop in Ghana. 

     The President Nana Addo indicated that we are very interested in deepening economic relations between Ghana and Japan, and to that extent, we have spent the last two years trying to improve the fundamentals of the Ghanaian economy so that we will be in a better position to attract investments and interests from Japanese companies.

    Ghana Post has announced to the general public that, although WAEC checker cards are available at its various offices nationwide, parents or students can now directly buy all WAEC e-vouchers by dialing *447*160# on their phones.

    This means students and parents do not have to visit any of the Ghana Post offices. With the penetration of smartphones and internet connectivity, businesses are increasingly adopting a mobile-first go to market strategy and the nation’s designated postal service operator is no exception.

    In a brief interview with the Chief Commercial Officer of Ghana Post, Jonathan Ansah, he indicated the company has recently leveraged technology to improve service delivery. We are optimistic that parents would particularly find this payment system helpful in buying the WAEC e-vouchers to check their wards results and subsequently purchase the school placement cards. Businesses are also expected to make a little more margin since they can buy the WAEC e-vouchers at bulk.ghpostpay.com at a discounted rate. You don’t need to have a smartphone to access this; any mobile phone design does this,” Jonathan Ansah said.

    Mr. Ansah also hinted that Ghana Post will soon launch a simple, user-friendly payment and collections platform that enables individuals, institutions and businesses to access various financial services offered by Ghana Post from the comfort of their homes via the use of Visa, MasterCard or mobile money.

    “Although we are yet to unveil our new GhPostpay App, the public can go ahead and download it from Playstore. A key feature of the GhPostpay App is the fact that parents who want to buy any of the West African Examination Council’s (WAEC) scratch cards, School placement checker, university forms or pay for their letterboxes do not need to go and queue in any of the facilitates,” he added

    According to Ghana Post, some of the branches that provide e-service are also on standby assist parents and wards in checking results. In the just-ended Ghana Shippers Awards 2019, Ghana Post was awarded Excellence in Innovation and Technology for showcasing smart new services which approach every day in new ways, enhance performances and spearhead that big change that no one even thought they needed until it was made.
