Mankyia Palace Finally Breaks Silence on Rev. Obofour Enstoolment
The Founder and Leader of Anointed Palace Chapel (APC) Worldwide and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Sweet TV, Reverend Francis Antwi, popularly known as Rev Obofour was recently enstooled as Chief of the Asantes in Sempe, James Town Accra. He is now given a new title as Nii Adotei Gyata I.
Some Ghanaians have congratulated him on his new position while others said that a true man of God cannot become chief because of certain traditional rites you will be compelled to perform. Rev. Francis Antwi is from the Ashanti Region and before agreeing to a chieftaincy position in Accra, he was supposed to notify the King of the Asantes but that according to Manhyia Palace was not done.
Oheneba Media, in an interview with Teacher Sarfo Kantaka, an Elder who teaches culture and languages for Manhyia Palace shared his view of Rev. Obofour’s new title in Accra. According to him, any group of Asantes living in different towns or countries can form an Asante group but not without the knowledge of the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.
During Akwasidae or Wukudae, you and your group have to notify the chief linguist that a group in Accra will like to greet the Asantehene so that if in the future a Chief in Accra will like to uplift you as a Chief of the Asantes, the King of Asante, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II will be aware.
Teacher Sarfo Kantaka added that if you do not go through this process and later something happens, who are you going to explain to. You are not a Ga man but an Asante man and you are taking this position in the name of Asantes. In view of that, Rev. Obofour should have consulted Manhyia Palace first before accepting the new chieftaincy position in Accra. This is because his title has something to do with the Asante Kingdom, thus Nii Adotei Gyata I (the King of the Asantes in Accra).
Amerado, Obibini set social media ablaze with diss tracks

Rappers Amerado and Obibini have since last night entertained their fans as they battle for supremacy.
The lyrical beef was triggered by a word in Amerado’s widely commended flow on the Tim Westwood which Obibini perceives to be a jab at him.
Despite Amerado’s clarification that Obibini was not the target of his verse, Obibini entered the recording booth last night and produced a diss track titled ‘Deceased’.
The Zylofone signee in this track belittles Amerado’s lyrical prowess and condemns his career which he claims to have buried.

The 2021 edition of the much-awaited and most attended gospel event of the century ‘Tahillah Experience’ hosted by sensational gospel act Ohemaa Mercy came off last Sunday 8 August 2021
The event as usual saw believers from all walks of life trooping to the ICGC Calvary temple as early as 12:00 noon though the event was scheduled to take off at 4 pm. It was not surprising seeing the auditorium filled with patrons. Others had to sit outside as the main auditorium could not host everyone.
Great personalities such as MOG, Ceccy Twum, Uncle Ato, Philip Thompson (USA) and pastor Oduro graced the occasion.

Acting Inspector General of Police, George Akuffo Dampare was up in action with his men ahead of the much anticipated #FixTheCountry demonstration which happened yesterday.
Having given the green light for the peaceful march to be held, COP Akuffo Dampare before the dispersion of his men, met officers at the Accra Regional Command together with members of the Police Management Board.
He sought to, through the meeting, brief the men who were going to be on the field himself. Though this is usually done by heads at the Regional Command, the IGP spearheaded this meeting to motivate and encourage the men to be professional before they set off to shepherd the demonstrators.

Veteran Nollywood actress Rachael Oniga, a legendary presence in the Nigerian movie industry, died Friday, according to reports. She was 64 years old.
