the construction of road without it drainage system is affecting their lives
and properties in this area.

The residents at Fete Manfram are complaining bitterly about their bridge linking to fete Kakraba not constructed for years.
Speaking to
Agyaba on Monday morning, Nana yaw a resident at manfram complain that it
becomes difficult for students and workers to go to work when it rains and
there is no way a car can come to their location.

Cashew which is
known as Anacardium is the seed of a tropical evergreen shrub related to mango
and pistachio.
DFM reporter went out to interview some cashew farmers about what prevents them from planting the cashew again.
In an interview, Mr. Effa said to the DFM reporter that in 2016 the prices for the cashew was high by which 1kg cost GH₵6 which they end more income but now the price has reduced to GH₵2.
Also, his workers said, because of how the prices have reduced he is not able to pay them as he uses to do at first. They are pleading with the government to make the prices of cashew as it used to be
Two
people confirmed dead in a fatal accident which occurred at Anaji Yahowa Naye a
community along the Nkroful to Takoradi highway with 3 people in critical
condition.
The
accident occurred on Sunday, May 19, 2019, around 10 am.
According
to Prince Antwi a reporter of DFM said the driver of the white Pontiac Vibe car
with registration number GR 3020-14 was moving from Anaji heading towards
Nkroful when he swerved off and crossed over to the other side of the road.
He
crashed with a Taxi with registration number CR 1888-13 which was also heading
towards Anaji from Nkroful direction.
“It took road users and the people around close to 40 minutes to rescue the helpless Taxi driver from his Taxi”, he reported. The daughter of the taxi driver who was in the vehicle and the driver of the Pontiac vibe car known as Nathaniel Hammond who is a worker at Orsam passed away on arrival at the hospital. The two deceased have since been deposited at the Effia Nkwanta Regional Hospital morgue for autopsy
The Northern Regional
Police arrest five people between the Konkombas and the Chokosis for fighting
over a piece of land at Saboba in the Northern Region.
The suspects at Tambo
were caught with 24 cartridges full of bullets and two single – barreled guns
while the suspects at Bonbaba were also found with 49 cartridges.
All the suspects are
in custody assisting the police with investigations.
The incident happened 24 hours after President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo made an intense appeal to the dispute going on in the Chereponi area to subdue their positions and politely settle their difference. This happened on the Presidents tour to the North East Region. Ministries International, is admonishing the governing NPP to as a matter of
urgency beg the Assin central MP Kennedy Agyapong if they have wronged him.
He stated that the party lives to regret if it fails to beg for forgiveness from Kennedy who for a month now has refused to defend the NPP on any media platform over irreconcilable differences he has with the top echelon of the party. He then concluded that, if the NPP governments have any issue with Kennedy Agyapong they better resolve it faster before the end of 2019
Tomato is one of the common commodities we find in our market
with as low as one Ghana cedes one can purchase tomatoes for a meal.
The minister for
finance, Ken Ofori Atta assured Ghanaians of the government efforts to
normalize the prices of tomatoes.
In an interview, tomato trader Ama Serwaa said her children have dropped out of school because her business has collapsed due to the increment. Some tomato consumers also pleaded on the government to resolve the issue

Ghana to assist our young people to acquired knowledge and skills.
The traders in interaction with
DFM reporter said, the president Nana Addo and the NPP government has done very
well for implementing this policy, May God bless them all.
Another trader also lamented that because of the free s.h.s policy she has been able to save money to cater for the rest of her children so she thanks Nana Addo. They then appealed to the government to do something about the prices of food commodities.
Akyem Bontodiase in the eastern region at akyemansa district, the youth are doing demonstration against the chief and their elders. According to youth leader Kwasi Gyimah said, Nana Adarkwah Gyamenah II and Kontehene has made a law that, if somebody dies in the town only the family members should site beside the funeral or the dead body because there was no wake-keeping.
Because of that the youth leader Kwasi Gyimmah gather all the youth and move to the chief house for demonstration, but unfortunately chief calls Akyem Ofoase police commander to come and arrest them.
The time he reaches there Kwasi Gyimah explain everything to him to understand the reason why they are doing that, and they are not come to beat chief but raider they want him and the elders to understand them, all because of the law they want to bring it they are not agree with them, but kontehene send the case to court.
Some traders
at the kaneshie market have expressed their displeasure over the rate at which
prices of food commodities keep going up and said this is affecting their
business.
The traders in interaction with D FM news said one cannot budget anymore on the amount of foodstuff they want to buy with the constant increment thereby reducing the quantity of their purchase.

A tomatoes seller said one bucket of imported
tomatoes are sold at GHC40 while half of the local tomatoes are now sold at
GHC20.
A Garden egg seller also said a bucket of garden egg is now sold at GHC20. She then added that because of the high price of transportation has made her goods expensive.
The drivers
at North Kaneshie are insisting seriously for the governments help because they
lack good roads.
In an interview with some drivers, DFM reporter was told that the Member of Parliament for North Kaneshie told the drivers he is going to make the road asphalt for them but within 3 to 4 years now he has not even tried to fix the road or even the asphalt he promised.
Mr. Alex Donkor who is a driver complained bitterly of the portholes on the roads. Our vehicles get spoilt because of our bad roads which makes us use all our money to fix our vehicles and due to that we even find it difficult to cater to for families.
Mr. Eric also complained of paying tax to the government but there is no support coming from him. They always lie to us they will be fixing this bad road problem but later, the MP came to tell us he is not responsible for fixing roads but rather the Assemblyman is supposed to do so. We are pleading with the government to help us because our wives and children also need money to cater for themselves and also car owners are also taking their cars from us because they think we are spoiling the cars but it is not our fault
The District Chief
Executive (DCE) of Bia East District Assembly in the Western North Region, Hon
Richard Chebure has appealed to Ghanaians most especially Parents and
Guardian’s not to neglect their children with Disabilities but show love and
affection to them.

yesterday when the District Assembly Disburse to the persons with Disabilities
their share of the Common Fund noted some parents discriminate among their
Children by loving the Able than Disables with the believes that the Disables
has nothing good to offer them and has advised them to stop.
In addition, he added that he will be going round and if any parents sell or refused to use the money and freezers given to them from the common fund for the disability he will take it from them to different people.
A 33-year-old man, kwadwo korankye who is a member of a car
snatching syndicate in the Ashanti region, has been arrested by police at
Ejisu.
He was arrested after a gang attacked some guest of
Ashantehene, Otumfo Osei Tutu ii, who were returning to their hotel at Ejisu
after attending a dinner at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi.
Deputy police commander, DCOP Frank Adu Anim, stated that the other members of the gang as Mallam, Osman, and Joe. He concluded that korankye is in police custody assisting in the investigation.
The people
of the Kaneshie market are seriously commenting about lack of rubbish bin (dust
bin) which makes people dump their refuse anywhere and also leaves them with
bad odor which is very harmful to their health.
In an interview with some of the people at the market by D FM reporter, he was told that due to lack of rubbish bin, people from different angles of the market have made the center of the market a rubbish site which is also dangerous to the people who sit beside the place and sell their products.
RUBBISH DUMPING SITE AT KANESHIE MARKET
Madam Doreen who is an okro seller at the market talked about the problems they face at the market because of the rubbish site. “We sit here and sell our goods and go back home with sickness. People don’t buy from us any longer because they see the place as a dirty market”, she added.
Madam Afua who is also a potato seller told D Fm news, they pay tax every day but they do not see the essence of paying their tax. Our leaders at the market send letters to the GRA and NADMO but we haven’t heard any response from them. We are urging the government to come to our aid because he is the only one who can solve all our problems at the market.
