    I was STILL very Active in the Movie ‘Scene’ whiles Pregnant- Nadia Buari

    Ghanaian top actress Nadia Buari says she was still active in the movie industry whiles she was pregnant but most people didn’t know.

    Nadia, who was a guest on UTV’s late night entertainment show duded ‘United Showbiz’ hosted by her follow actress Nana Ama McBrown, disputed the fact that her pregnancy put her career on hold.

    She said;

    “People think I stopped acting to be a mother but that is false! I was going on set to work even in my fifth month but I was lucky because I have a body which didn’t allow my stomach to show much.”

    Nadia, who is now the mother of four, added that, she acted in over 10 movies during her pregnancies and also have produced two movies from her production firm.

    Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) is a dreaded controversial unit of the Nigeria Police Force. The Special Anti-Robbery Squad is a unit under the Force Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department headed by the Deputy Inspector General of Police Anthony Ogbizi.

    The unit has come under various criticism from both celebrities and the local people with concern in their mode of operations. Any artiste like Rubeboy posted a video this morning on Twitter calling on the president and the vice president to hear and the peoples cry and end the operations of the SAR Unit.

    Wizkid retweeted at president Buhari’s good will message to president Trump saying;

    Popular actor, Majid Micheal has recounted on their hustling days where he and Jackie Appiah were broke to the extent of walking from Osu to Dzorwulu to sleep.

    Speaking on United Showbiz on UTV, he touched on some of the challenges they faced to the extent they have to sacrifice something in other to survive.

    According to him, his colleague, Jackie Appiah was very thin like his arm, narrating that they went on set but was not having money to go back home so have to walk all the way Osu to Dzorwulu which drained them when they got home.

    However, he called on the government to help grow the industry indicating that they should prioritize the entertainment industry because it’s a way of displaying culture to the world.

    Jackie Appiah also added that the industry needs foreign investors else they are not going to meet the standard Nigerians have gotten to and the need for cinemas.

    He explained that due to the competition in the movie industry the actors in Nollywood preferred that the deals always go to their own.

    Speaking with Nana Ama Macbrown on UTV’s United Showbiz, he stated that initially, everything was go ing good but it got to a time, the male actors in Nigeria had issues with him hence faced some uncomfortable situation because they weren’t happy.

    According to him, despite facing those challenges they came into terms with him that they are all brothers and it’s part of the business to have other people from different places to join them.

    He however added that he made good money from producers in Nigeria.

    Shatta also tackled on issues from his collaboration with Beyoncé, how Dancehall is impacting lives in Africa, Black Lives Matter and like how the COVID-19 pandemic has affected the entertainment and the whole as a whole.

    Popular Nollywood actress, Chacha Eke Faani was allegedly rushed to the hospital in an ambulance, following her announcement about marriage crisis.

    This comes barely hours after she announced her dissolution of her marriage.

    According to popular Nigerian blog, Gistlovers and some eyewitnesses who claimed to be at the scene of the incident, Chacha was allegedly forced to enter the ambulance after she started acting strange.

    Comfort Gabriella, who also claimed to be an eye witness, confirmed that the actress was saying things that could not be understood, and they had to beg her to enter the ambulance for medical attention.

    “I was there and she’s not mad but she was talking rubbish like a mad person. People were begging her to enter the ambulance. First one left, they had to call another one”, Gabriella wrote.

    According to the ‘Dondo’ hitmaker, the money charged at the airport is tantamount to extortion and he does not understand why he has to pay money before entering a country of birth.

    The payment of $150 at airport by travellers for COVID-19 testing was instituted by the government as part of measures to curb the spread of the Novel Coronavirus in Ghana.

    Many travellers have expressed disappointment at the phenomenon and are calling for it to be scrapped immediately especially for Ghanaians returning home.
