Prior to the President’s announcement of a partial lockdown, most Ghanaians expressed concerns that the poor and vulnerable will be most affected.
The government of Ghana, after announcing a partial lockdown, established a fund to support the poor and vulnerable people in society.
The President and his vice have both donated their 3 months’ salaries to the fund and others are also making donations.
As well, the vice president, Dr Mahamaud Bawumia has made donations of sums of money to head potters and cobblers whose business activities have been adversely impacted by the directive.
Loudmouth Ghanaian comedian, Afia Schwarzenegger believes that the government is neglecting another vulnerable group of individuals in society- slay queens.
Yes, Afia Schwarzenegger believes that the lockdown has also affected slay queens very negatively. So according to her, the government should begin donating monies to slay queens as well.
She said the consequence of the government’s failure to render financial support to the slay queens would be that they will go out on the streets and sexually engage the military men who are enforcing the government’s directive.
